Pathways - The New Learning System

I joined Toastmasters International (www.toastmasters.org) in August 2017. At the time, the new learning system called 'Pathways' was just a term that was casually thrown but nobody paid attention to it except the Pathways guides and ambassadors. They were trying their best to get members enthusiastic about the upcoming changes but everyone was focused on their Competent Communicator and Advance manuals.

Finally, Pathways rolled out in the region on March 20th, 2018.

I was an early adopter to sign up for Pathways. Once I selected my path ("Effective Coaching"), I found the curriculum fascination even though the interface seemed clunky and outdated.

It quickly became apparent to me that other members were struggling with the new system and required assistance in navigating through the Pathways process.

I decided that my club will benefit if I familiarized myself with the new system and I made it my goal to complete one full path.

This blog is created to describe my journey in completing one full path. The blog will explain the 'Effective Coaching' path, the different levels, the electives I chose and the rationale behind my choices.

I hope this blog help Toastmasters who are just embarking on the 'Effective Coaching' path to understand what they can expect at the end of their journey.
